Vice President, Corporate Energy

Job Description:
Forward Thinking Corporation seeks a Vice President to head up its energy strategy.
This VP position will be responsible for the strategic guidance and operational utilization of energy and resultant financial performance with in the Company. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide business leadership for the Company: Set overall energy strategy direction and goals in support of the growth and profitability objectives of the Company.
- Identify and assess opportunities to maximize the use of energy within Company data centers and other areas of the Company.
- Work with key management of the Company to identify and improve energy efficiency including, but not limited to: internal audit, plant/facilities and information technology.
- Take responsibility for overseeing the implementation of energy reduction initiatives.
- Provide fiscal leadership to the Company with an emphasis on maximizing energy utilization: Create, manage, and monitor energy budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics in support of meeting the profit and revenue expectations of the Company.
- Prepare reports for the Board keeping them informed of key initiatives and Company performance.
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience conducting energy assessments/audits
- Knowledgeable regarding regulatory energy guidelines
- Prior experience working with PE engineering companies
- Prior experience working with energy distribution/supply companies
- Solid understanding of building environmental support systems including air conditioning, heating, UPS and ventilation systems
- Currency with latest alternative energy technologies
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working with data centers and IT function
- Knowledgeable in data center and information technology business trends
- Executive level reporting experience
- Ability to assess financial and operational performance data
- Strong business planning and strategic visionary skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal and rapport building skills
- Highly-motivated individual that welcomes responsibility and accountability
- Comfortable working with multiple user departments
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
