Job Description:
Dynamic public company in Metropolitan New York Area in biotechnology/pharmaceutical sector seeks Patent Agent as part of its integral scientific/legal team. Must understand fundamental IP protections and procedures, be able to identify issues in patent prosecution matters, coordinate the preparation and filing of intellectual property matters and interact with many levels of stakeholders. Reports directly to the Senior Director of Intellectual Property.

Job Requirements:
- Current USPTO Registration (or obtain within 6 months of start date).
- At least two years experience with U.S. and foreign patent preparation and prosecution.
- Direct experience with computer-based IP docketing software preferred.
- Experience in biotech/pharma industry or related academia (molecular biology, neurology or immunology background a plus) Excellent communication, analytical and organization skills.
