Job Description:
Private equity fund is seeking a CEO for its high growth data center business opportunity.
This CEO position will be responsible for the financial success of the Company and its products and services. This individual will lead a team working in all functional Company areas—including finance, operations, marketing, sales, product and service development and business planning. Responsibilities include:
Provide business leadership for the Company:
- Set overall direction and goals for the businesses supporting the growth and profitability objectives of the Company.
- Leverage business implications of technology as they support the business objectives.
- Identify and assess business opportunities.
- Provide competitive statistics and on-going analyses.
Provide fiscal leadership to the business with an emphasis on maximizing revenues and profitability:
- Take responsibility for the P&L and financial success of the business. Create, manage, and monitor budgets and forecasts, performance metrics, and meet or exceed profit and revenue expectations.
- Work closely with and report to the Board keeping them informed of key strategic initiatives and Company performance.
- Report on a monthly basis actual and outward sales forecasts against plan.
- Identify and recruit exceptional talent to grow the Company and develop existing employee skills to support the needs of the Company.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of data center operational management responsibility
- Knowledgeable in data center and information technology business trends
- Knowledge of information technology infrastructure and telecom networks
- Executive level marketing and sales experience
- Prior M&A experience with technology based assets
- Ability to assess financial and operational performance data
- Excellent financial discipline including prior P&L responsibility
- Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding revenue goals
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong business planning and strategic visionary skills. Out-of-the-box thinker
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Strong manager of people and process
- Highly-motivated individual that welcomes responsibility and accountability
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial work environment
- Remote location/start-up residence approximately 50%
- Highest degree of integrity
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
