Job Description:
International accounting firm seeks a Manager/Director for its International Tax Hedge Fund practice.
Responsibilities:
- Deal with a variety of tax issues for corporate clients ranging from tax planning, restructuring, due diligence, audit defense and research and writing memorandum for companies with presence in multiple taxing jurisdictions and preparing federal tax forms that relate to international operations.
- Advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the U.S. and foreign tax implications of their international operations.
- Advise international clients on alternative investment strategies.
- Focus on all aspects of cross border and international taxation including structural realignment, effective tax rate analysis and improvement of tax efficiencies of cross border flows.
- Responsible for coordinating U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to obtain an optimal worldwide strategy.
Job Requirements:
- Strong technical tax background.
- Prior hedge fund experience.
- Client service orientation.
- 10 years experience advising U.S. and foreign multinational companies on their international tax strategies.
- Previous experience in an international tax practice within a professional services firm, industry, government agency and/or law firm.
- Possess creative problem solving skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Minimum of BA/BS and Masters in Tax/JD/LLM.
