Job Description:
Our client; a major media organization seeks a Manager of Digital Advertising Solutions. The Manager of Digital Advertising Solutions is part of a department that works with the digital ad sales account executives, planning, and web site teams to create, deploy and execute the sales packages and related sponsorships. The department is integral in helping the digital ad sales team meet their revenue goals.
This is a full-time, NY-based position. The person who fills this role will work closely with the other members of the ad sales marketing team in managing sales needs for the various digital media properties that support primary media brands. The Manager will support the sales team by creating compelling and strategic proposals that meet advertisers’ marketing objectives and then oversee the flawless execution of those proposals when they are sold. The Manager will develop an expertise in one of the digital media properties, but be involved in all of them.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Manager will collaborate extensively with sales, editorial/product, ad operations and integrated marketing teams to create custom proposals that meet specific client marketing objectives (in response to RFPs/sales requests). Also, contribute brainstorming ideas with product teams, seeking approvals, writing up proposal, grabbing screenshots, creating mock-ups, etc.
- Proactively produce sales one-sheets for new sponsorship opportunities outlined by editorial/product team and/or sales management.
- Act as in-house project manager to ensure follow-through on sponsorship deliverables and production timelines.
- Serve as the day-to-day contact to collect custom sponsorship assets, creative approvals, and to ensure seamless execution throughout the life of the campaign. Monitor sponsorship delivery to ensure all sponsorship line items are pacing towards their impression goal. Compile complete post-campaign wrap-up reports including performance analysis.
- Maintain and update sales sheets, presentations and other sales tools on a regular basis, for example: Adding new sponsorship opportunities to the online site; Monitoring and updating available sponsorship reports.
- Tracking pitched and sold sponsorships and providing sponsorship revenue analysis and percentage sell through as needed.
- Monitor competitive environment and stay informed about online standards/offerings (both industry-wide and company-specific) to become an expert and resource for the sales team.
Job Requirements:
Required: - Minimum of 4 years experience in a sales support environment in the digital/interactive media space. Background in online/digital marketing, promotions or advertising a must.
Preferred: - 5+ years experience in digital advertising space. Digital project management or digital client services experience within a sales organization.
